MARK BURTON, is driving home on a desolate road following his latest broadcast, when he is involved in a serious collision that results in the death of the other driver, VANESSA TAYLOR. In a panic, Mark flees the scene of the crime and returns to his home.

The next day, he attempts to keep up his professional façade, but is thrown when the death of Vanessa Taylor becomes their leading story.

Sharing the details of the affair as it appears on the teleprompter, and covering the fledgling investigation as it updates, Mark is forced to reconcile with his guilt, becoming increasingly disturbed and paranoid.
