Driving home on a desolate road following her latest broadcast, anchor Cynthia Schoring is involved in a serious collision that results in the death of the other driver, Vanessa Taylor. Fearing repercussions, Cynthia flees the scene of the crime, and without a witness, appears to have gotten away with murder.

After the death of Vanessa Taylor becomes the stations’ leading story, however, Cynthia struggles with her mounting guilt, covering the investigation into the crash, as it appears on her teleprompter.

When it appears that a witness behind-the-scenes at the station is communicating through the teleprompter, urging her to confess, Cynthia is forced make the most difficult decision of her career, live on air.
